Get piv card reader to work for mac

The computer knows the reader is there, but it refuses to read the certificates.

It does still work for those 2, but ever since the Catalina update, it will not read my CAC. Has anyone figured out how to make this work yet? I've used my Mac with a Thursby CAC reader for years with no issues the same reader also works on my iPad and iPhone.
